Dec 31, 2006 - The Film Database has been restored and reintegrated into the new layout. New additions - as announced in the previous update - will follow soon.
In case you'd like to contribute an article on of the movies we haven't added to the Film Database yet, please feel free to contact us! We're especially looking for articles on Lena's early Swedish movies.

Dec 25, 2006 - GOD JUL & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We're delighted to present you with a completely re-tooled layout. All the great features you love about LENA OnLINe are still here... We've just spiced things up a bit to kick off the New Year! Hopefully, you will like it as much as we do.

The new layout is just the start. In the coming days and weeks, we'll have loads of yummy goodies to drive away those winter blahs!
First up: a trip to the movies! The Night and the Moment, Night Falls on Manhattan and Casanova will soon be hitting the galleries, complete with summary info and movie details that can be found in our extensive Film Database. And that's not all, so stay tuned!!!

So from our little family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Nov 30, 2006 - We have a new section: Reading! This section provides you with screenplays and scripts of both movies and theater plays, as well as press kits of Lena's movies. Right now, we have 6 items available for your reading pleasure, but we hope to add more soon.
In case you have interesting reading material which is suitable for this section, please send it in! Thanks in advance and happy reading!

Nov 1, 2006 - Finally... We're are proud to announce the "reopening" of the thoroughly revised Biography! The new version comes with tons of information, pictures and interactive links about our favorite actress' life and career.

Oct 29, 2006 - Once again we've added a couple of "old finds". Please check out the following movie galleries to enjoy a couple of new movie stills additions: The Ninth Gate (2), Picassos Äventyr (4), Queen of the Damned (2), Romeo Is Bleeding (6) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (3). We also replaced some of the existing movie stills with pictures in better quality. Happy viewing!

Oct 24, 2006 - More "old finds": Check out the Public Events 2000 and Public Events 2001 Galleries for a couple of new additions from the Berlin Film Festival 2001 (#33 - 36) and the Chocolat premieres in London (#65 - 71) and New York (#72 - 73).

This ticket system allows us, the staff of LENA OnLINe, to process and manage all kinds of requests faster and more reliable.
From now on, please do ONLY use the new Contact Center for getting in touch with us - do NOT send us single emails anymore, unless we request them. Thanks, and happy messaging!

Oct 8, 2006 - Take a look into our ever-growing Public Events 2005 Gallery, as we've just added 13 wonderful portraits of Lena at last year's Casanova Press Conference in New York (pictures #53 - 65).

Sept 30, 2006 - Today we have another little picture update in the Public Events 2006 Gallery: We added 9 "new" pictures of Lena & Lasse at January's Casanova premiere in Stockholm/Sweden (pictures #68 - 76).

Sept 29, 2006 - On Tuesday (Sept. 26th), Lena's husband, Lasse Hallström, has been honored with a Life Achievement Award for his work by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce. Of course, Lena was with him. Check out 4 wonderful photos from this event in our Public Events 2006 Gallery.

Sept 27, 2006 - Added two pictures of young Lena from the 1950's and 1960's to the Galleries (Big thanks to Karin!) and replaced 4 great 2000's shots by bigger versions: Click here, here, here and here to view them. Enjoy! ;-)

Sept 10, 2006 - Flashback: On September 3rd, 2005, Casanova had its world premiere at the 62nd Biennale in Venice. Today, one year later, we have 25 "new" wonderful photos from this event! Check out the Events 2005 Gallery and keep your eyes open for the pictures #186 - 210. As always, Lena looks absolutely stunning!

Aug 28, 2006 - We have another video goodie for you: Check out the Video Archive for the "Making of Havana". It includes a short interview with Lena and some interesting "Behind the Scenes" moments. Some screencaps of the interview have been added to the Havana Gallery (under "Behind the Scenes").

Moreover, we have hidden a little "Easter Egg" somewhere around the site. You will find more info on that in our Forum ("The Site" subforum).

Aug 27, 2006 - Time for some rare goodies! Today we have a really nice Sunday treat for you: Enjoy Young Lena in the hilarious Swedish silent comedy short from 1986: Glasmästarna.

We have both lots of screencaps from the movie and the complete film available for download in our Video Archive (posted under "Film Clips"). Naturally, we also have added the obligatory Film Database entry.

1990 Marquee Magazine, 1993 ELLE, 1994 Empire and an article about Tora's first film role with many cute pictures.

Aug 14, 2006 - Thanks to our Forum member Alessandra, we can finally provide you with the English translations of the two 1994 articles from the Italian magazines CIAK and Film TV. Again, big thanks to Alessandra!
We'll add more new articles as time allows.

Aug 3, 2006 - Today we have a Havana special for you: The Gallery has been filled with 165 screencaps from the movie and 16 new movie and promo stills. We also finally added the respective Film Database entry. Hope you enjoy!

July 18, 2006 - We've added a little dedication page to the work of acclaimed Swedish director, Lasse Hallström, who - as you all might know - is not only an amazing director and personality, but also Lena's beloved husband.
Be sure to check it out!

July 15, 2006 - Huge update in the Press Archive: We've added about 20 articles (mainly old ones which are already available as scans in the Magazine Archive) - and yes, we actually sat down and typed them up for you. It's really very, very interesting to read through those old gems, so we hope you'll find the time for a (looong) reading night or two...

Speaking of articles: We are looking for translators! If you are fluent in Italian, Dutch or Swedish, please drop us a line!

Also, please don't miss to visit our Forum for latest news and great discussions with fans from all over the world. We just welcomed our 600th member!

June 22, 2006 - Admittedly, it's been a while... but due to the almost unbearable heat, I've allowed myself to take a little summer break.
However, today I have added a few new pictures for you: Check out the Public Events 2001 Gallery for a bunch of new pics from the Berlinale (#25 - 32) and the Casanova Gallery for 5 new movie stills (#18 - 22). We'll be back with more as time allows.

June 2, 2006 - Happy Birthday, Lasse!!!
Director Lasse Hallström, Lena's talented husband who directed her in "Chocolat" and "Casanova" celebrates his 60th birthday today!

The team of LENA OnLINe wishes him all the best for his big day and for the future.

May 25, 2006 - And now we have 100 screencaps from Irina Derevko's last appearance on ALIAS for you: Check out the ALIAS Season 5 Gallery for the pics from the finale.

May 23, 2006 - After 5 years, the ABC hit series ALIAS has come to an end:
The two final episodes of Season 5 aired yesterday. Lena had one last appearance as Irina Derevko. We just added 8 promo stills of her final scene to the ALIAS Promo Stills Gallery.

May 13, 2006 - First of all: Sorry for the lack of updates last week, but the site has been moved to a new high-performance server, so we couldn't update for a while.

Today we have a little Mr. Jones special for you: The Gallery has been filled with over 200 great screencaps and 2 promo stills from the movie. Moreover, we've added an entry for Mr. Jones to the Film Database.

May 5, 2006 - New addition in the 1990's Magazine Archive: Check out the gorgeous scans from 1994's "Café" magazine! The pictures are also available in the Gallery, and the translated article can be found in our Press Archive.

May 3, 2006 - We have a new rare video clip for you: In an old interview from the mid-eighties, Ingmar Bergman talks about Strindberg's famous theater play "Ett drömspel" / "A Dream Play" and we get to see some short scenes with Lena.
You can download the clip from our Video Archive (scroll down to "Lena on Stage").

Apr 19, 2006 - So, today is the "Big Day": Everybody's favorite SpyMommy a.k.a. Irina Derevko returns in the hit series ALIAS. If you live in the US and/or can receive ABC, do not miss it tonight!
In the meantime, you might want to discuss this "special event" with fellow fans in our ALIAS Forum.

Also: We have tons of goodies in the pipeline for you, but due to some personal computer problems, there will be a short delay with the upcoming updates. But high doses of Lena are ready for your viewing and reading pleasure, so stay tuned and check back soonest!

Mar 30, 2006 - Updated the Press Archive with an interesting article about Romeo Is Bleeding; published in 1994 in the British magazine "Film Review". Lena talks about her unforgettable role as the sultry and deadly "Mona Demarkov" and the shooting (and getting shot!). You may also want to check out the Magazines section for the scans of the original article.

To celebrate our favorite lady's great day, we've added a bunch of very rare photos from an absolutely stunning photo shooting at her home in Bedford to the Gallery.
Hope everybody's having a great (holi)day - especially our most deserving actress! Keep on rocking, Lena!

Mar 19, 2006 - Irina's back! - Everybody's favorite character on ALIAS, Lena's Irina Derevko, will celebrate her comeback on April 19th in episode 5x11. We have 5 stunning promo stills of this episode in our ALIAS Gallery. If you're looking for more news on ALIAS and Irina's return (incl. spoilers), check out our ALIAS Forum!

Moreover, the first official movie still of Lena's upcoming movie Awake, starring Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba, has been published. You can enjoy it together with 2 new stills from the set in our Awake Gallery.

We also added three new movie stills from Casanova (#15 - 17) to the Casanova Gallery. For those of you who haven't gotten the chance to enjoy Casanova in theaters yet, don't miss it! The movie will be released on DVD on April 25th. (North America)

Mar 12, 2006 - Gallery update: Just added 24 pictures from last year's Centennial Greta Garbo Tribute (exclusive report here) to the Events 2005 Gallery (#12 - 35) and yet again 12 pictures from the Sweden premiere of Casanova to the Events 2006 Gallery (#56 - 67).

Mar 8, 2006 - New section: As you might have noticed, we've rearranged the categories in the main menu on the left a bit, and added a new category called "Desktop", where you will find the new section Icons, filled with 240 wonderful Lena icons which you can use in forums, journals, messengers etc. (Huge thanks to Sabine for her great art work!)

Mar 5, 2006 - Gallery update: We've added 22 photos from the Stockholm premiere of Casanova (#34 - 55) and 10 pictures from last fall's premiere of Lasse's movie An Unfinished Life (#36 - 45). Please visit both the Events 2005 Gallery and the Events 2006 Gallery, and check them out! Enjoy!

It contains absolutely the same content as the original version, except for a few sections which are still under construction. The film classic The Unbearable Lightness of Being celebrates its 20th anniversary and is now available on a 2-disc Special Edition with lots of extras (e.g. commentary by Lena and Making Of).
If you haven't seen this brilliant movie yet, make sure to check it out soonest! You can order it online from Amazon.

In the meantime, we recommend you to visit our Film Database and the Movie Gallery for more info and to get in the right mood.

Feb 05, 2006 - More recent eye-candies for you! Just updated the Gallery with 20 more gorgeous photos from the Casanova Premiere in Sweden, which also included two wonderful photo shootings. Feb 01, 2006 - Welcome to LENA OnLINe Version 5.0!
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates, BUT... as you can certainly see, LENA OnLINe has a new look! The site has been completely converted to PHP, which offers more dynamic and flexibility (and also easier maintenance) and also comes with a few new features, like the Site Search and the Press Archive, which is still under construction.

I am also proud to announce that LENA OnLINe will soon be available in French. The French version is also still in progress, but will go online in just a few days.

I hope that you will like the new look and features. Please make sure to check and change your bookmarks as all sections have new URLs now. If you have problems navigating the site, please try to clear your cache first. Otherwise, feel free to contact me if/when you find any bugs. I am looking forward to your feedback!

Oh, and as promised, you'll soon get flooded with many gorgeous goodies! ;-)

Today marks the second anniversary for LENA OnLINe! I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has visited the site, registered and contributed, helping us to make it the largest, unofficial site dedicated to the life and career of Lena Olin!

As a special treat, I have (finally) added 3 glorious Lena Screensavers, so that you can tune up your computer some more and make Lena the "Queen of Your Screen"! ;-)
